Can EBSCOhost PDFs be read by JAWS® and other screen reader software?

Native PDFs that have been provided to EBSCO directly from publishers are created with a clean text layer, which is compatible with screen reading software.

Older image-only PDFs have an Optical Character Reader (OCR) text layer.  The quality of text behind the OCR PDF can vary and will have different levels of success with screen reading software.

When EBSCOhost results are displayed in chronological order on a result list, the vast majority of our recent PDFs will be of the Native type and will be more readable with screen reader software such as JAWS®.
