How do I schedule reports in EBSCOadmin?

When you schedule a report in EBSCOadmin, an e-mail with a persistent link to the report is automatically sent to you. You can click on the link from the e-mail, or copy the link and paste it into your web browser’s address field, and view the report right in your browser window. You can also save the persistent link and view it at your convenience.

Scheduling Reports

To schedule reports in EBSCOadmin

  1. Log in to EBSCOadmin at http://eadmin.ebscohost.com/.

  2. Click Reports & Statistics in the tool bar at the top of the screen.

  3. Click Standard Usage Reports under EBSCOhost/EDS, then select the Report Type that you want to run. Select one of the following: 

    • Database Usage Report
    • Interface Usage Report
    • Link Activity Report
    • Login Usage Report
    • Title Usage Report
  4. Make your selections on the Report Screen to meet your needs. 

  5. For the Delivery option, select E-mail.

  6. Fill in the following fields:

    • E-mail Address: Enter the e-mail address(es) to which you would like your report delivered. If entering multiple addresses, separate them with a comma.
    • Subject: Add a subject line for your e-mailed report. (Optional)
    • E-mail Frequency: Select Monthly and then select a Reporting Period and Expiration month and year for your report.
    • Report Format: Select Excel or Tab Delimited.
  7. Click the E-mail Report button.

  8. When you receive the report e-mail, simply click on the persistent link included with the e-mail (or copy and paste into your browser address field). A Save prompt box displays enabling you to save the report in the format you selected.

Notes:

  • When you select a Reporting Period of Last 3, Last 6, or Last 12 months, the monthly generated report includes that most recent period of usage.
  • Links to reports are saved indefinitely. However, if you edit the report, a new link will be sent that replaces the one you created previously. And if you delete the report, the link will also be deleted.
  • If you click a report link before the reporting period, the data will be for the prior complete period.

 

Modifying Scheduled Reports

To modify a scheduled report:

  1. Log in to EBSCOadmin at http://eadmin.ebscohost.com/.

  2. Click Reports & Statistics in the tool bar at the top of the screen.

  3. Click Standard Reports under EBSCOhost/EDS, then select the Report Type that you want to run. Select one of the following: 

  4. Click the Scheduled Reports tab.

  5. Click the hyperlinked name of the report you would like to modify.

  6. Make your selections in the Modify Schedule window and click the Modify button.

 

Deleting Scheduled Reports

To delete a scheduled report:

  1. Log in to EBSCOadmin at http://eadmin.ebscohost.com/.

  2. Click Reports & Statistics in the tool bar at the top of the screen.

  3. Click Standard Reports under EBSCOhost/EDS, then select the Report Type that you want to run. Select one of the following: 

  4. Click the Scheduled Reports tab.

  5. Click the Trash can icon in the Delete column for the report you would like to stop receiving.
