Point of Care Reference Centers - E-mailing Articles

EBSCO's Point of Care Reference Center interfaces (Nursing Reference Center, Patient Education Reference Center, Rehabilitation Reference Center) include the ability to e-mail articles you have found.

To e-mail an article:

  1. Display the article and then click the E-mail link. The interface displays the E-mail Manager.

    E-mail Manager Screen

  2. Enter the recipient’s e-mail address in the E-mail Address text box. To send to more than one e-mail address, use a semicolon between each e-mail address. For example, name1@address.com; name2@address2.com.

  3. Enter a subject for the e-mail message in the Subject text box, up to 40 characters. For example, Results of research on topic ABC.

  4. Enter comments to include with the e-mail message in the Comments text box.

  5. Select the format in which to present the content of the e-mail message: formatted text (Rich Text option) or ASCII text (Plain Text option). This option is useful if the recipient’s e-mail client does not accept e-mail containing formatted text.

  6. Click Send to send the e-mail message. The interface displays a message confirming your e-mail has been sent.

To e-mail persistent links to searches:

  1. From a Result List, click the Add search to folder link located above the Result List. The search query is saved in the folder as a persistent link to a search.

  2. Access the folder and click the Persistent Links to Searches area of the folder.

  3. Click the checkbox associated with the Search entry and then click the E-mail link. The interface displays the E-mail Manager including the Links to Searches sub-tab

  4. Enter the e-mail address in the E-mail Address text box. To send to more than one e-mail address, use a semicolon between each e-mail address. For example, name1@address.com; name2@address2.com.

  5. Enter a subject to appear on the e-mail subject line, up to 40 characters. For example, Results of research on topic ABC.

  6. Enter any comments you would like to include with your e-mail in the Comments text box.
