Social Work Reference Center - Browsing Practices & Skills

The Practices & Skills screen in Social Work Reference Center (SWRC) gives you access to clinical papers detailing the necessary steps to achieve proficiency in a specific task or defining the key considerations to providing culturally competent care to a specific group.

To use the Practices & Skills tab:

  1. Click the Practices & Skills link in the top toolbar or in the Browse box on the left of the Home screen. SWRC displays the Practices & Skills page.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Enter the procedure in the Browse for field and then click the Browse button.

      • If you know the exact name of the procedure and how it is referenced in SWRC, select the Alphabetical button.

      • If you are not sure how the procedure is referenced in SWRC, or if you want to search for other related procedures, it is recommended that you select the Relevancy Ranked button.

    • Use the A-Z links to locate the procedure via an alphabetical list.

  3. Click the procedure name in the list to display the record detail.
