The Reference Shelf area (located in the right-hand column of the Points of View Reference Center Home Page) provides information and guidance for students conducting research for an essay. Educators in the U.S. and Canada can also find Curriculum Standards.
Curriculum Standards (POVRC and Canadian POVRC only) links educators to EBSCO's Academic Benchmarks application, which provides a number of recommended Search Strings to help them find relevant, professional content that will support Common Core learning objectives as well as state- and Canadian province-specific standards.
Create an Essay Outline provides tips for creating a good outline of your ideas before writing your paper.
Charts/Graphs for Topics provides a list of topics with charts and/or graphs available in EBSCO’s Points of View Reference Center. Including a chart or graph in your research paper will help you support your argument.
