Nursing Reference Center Plus - Citing References in APA Format

Citing references can be one of the most difficult parts of writing a research paper. Using the personal folders in Nursing Reference Center Plus, you can save your references in a specific Citation Format:

To save references in Nursing Reference Center Plus:

  1. From the NRC Plus home page, perform a keyword search on your research paper topic.

  2. On the result list, choose the articles you wish to cite and add them to the folder by clicking the folder icon Add to folder icon.

    Note: If you would like to save the articles beyond the current session, sign in to your personal folder. (First time users, click the Sign In link at the top of the screen and create a new account.)

  3. Open your folder and select the articles you wish to cite, then click the Save link.

  4. Click on Citation Format and select a format from the drop-down list, then click Save.

    If you would like these items to remain in the folder after clicking Save, ensure that the box for Remove these items from folder after saving is unchecked.

  5. Your references are displayed in the format you have chosen, and can be copied from the page and pasted into your research paper.
