What is the Full Text Finder Resolver Revise Request form (Citation Finder), and how do I add it to Publication Finder or EBSCO Discovery Service?

The Full Text Finder Resolver Revise Request form (Citation Finder) is a quick tool to use when you have a citation for an article you need to find. The Revise Request form will analyze the supplied information and create a menu of options based on your library’s holdings.

The Revise Request form will work best if you provide the following information:

  • Full title of the journal or ISSN (a unique identifier). Do not use a journal abbreviation.
  • Year
  • Volume
  • Issue
  • First page of the article

To add the Revise Request form to Publication Finder (PFI) or EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) Custom Toolbar, in your EBSCOadmin account follow the instructions below:

  1. From the Choose Profile drop-down menu, select your EDS or PFI profile.
  2. Click the Branding sub-tab.The Branding screen is displayed.
  3. Set the Show Custom Toolbar parameter to Yes.
  4. Click the Modify link to the right of the Customize Toolbar field. The Customize Toolbar screen is displayed.
  5. Toolbar: Left Side or Toolbar: Right Side – Click the drop-down menu to the right of Add New Item and select Add Custom Item.
  6. Enter a description of the link to be added in the Item Type field (e.g. Citation Finder).
  7. Enter a label that will appear in the toolbar in the Label field (e.g. Citation Finder).
  8. Enter the following in the URL field: http://resolver.ebscohost.com/openurl/revise
  9. Click Submit to save your changes.
