EBSCOhost Collection Manager: eBook/Audiobook Ordering Preferences

EBSCOhost Collection Manager (ECM) includes a full set of account settings that allow selectors and approvers to customize ECM functionality.

To access the ECM preferences menu, click the Preferences link at the top of the screen.

Note: You must click the Save button to save any changes you make before navigating away from the settings menu.

The following eBooks Settings screens are accessible from the menu on the left:

Account Settings

ECM general settings

  • My ECM Profile - Displays the customer information stored for your account in EBSCOadmin. This information cannot be modified in ECM.

  • Preferred Home Page - Select either the Book Storefront or the Magazine Storefront to be displayed as your default home page when you log in to ECM.

  • Preferred Local Currency for Price Quote - If desired, select your local currency. When searching ECM, results will display with the price converted into your selected currency below the U.S. Dollar amount. 

Books Settings

From the Books Settings:

  • Bill to Contact - Select the default billing contact that will be used when placing orders. If more than one contact is available, this can be modified by an Approver at the time of purchase.

  • Bill to Address - Select the default billing location that will be used when placing orders. If more than one address is available, this can be modified by an Approver at the time of purchase.

  • Create Fund Code:

    • Enter Code - Enter a Fund code and click Add to add codes to your institution's fund code list. Once entered, fund codes can be assigned to any Ownership or PDA list for ordering. Fund codes are limited to 20 alpha numeric characters.

  • Preferred Access Model - Set a preferred purchase model. The result list displays the price model selected as the default. If the selected default model is not available, the least expensive will be displayed.

    • One User - One User per Title
    • Three User - Three Simultaneous Users per Title
    • Unlimited User - Unlimited Simultaneous Users per Title
    • Concurrent Access - Concurrent Access provides a perpetual license to eBooks available on an unlimited concurrent access basis up to an annual maximum of uses. (See also: What is the Concurrent Access Model for eBooks?)
  • Display Preferences:

    • Subject Authority - Select the default Subject Authority option you would like displayed in search results. (See also: What are BISAC subjects?)

    • Holdings - Select to ensure titles in your institution's collection are not displayed in the result list.

    • Results Per Page - Set the default number of results displayed when searching for books in ECM.
