What are DRM-Free eBooks in EBSCOhost Collection Manager?

DRM-Free EBSCO eBooks are eBooks available for purchase in EBSCOhost Collection Manager that include unlimited access to users with no DRM (Digital Rights Management) restrictions on printing, saving, copying, etc. Full-book downloads require no sign-in to My EBSCOhost, no Adobe ID, and no special software such as Adobe Digital Editions or Bluefire Reader. The only requirement is that the user authenticates to your institution's collection.

DRM-Free functionality is available for the Unlimited User perpetual version of eligible titles. In many cases, single-user, three-user, or Concurrent Access Model (CAM) versions of that same title will be available for purchase, but will have standard DRM-protection.

DRM-Free eBooks appear in ECM with the following indicator:

DRM-Free eBook titles are eligible to be added to your Demand-Driven Acquisition (DDA) lists in ECM. When the title is triggered for purchase, your library automatically owns a DRM-Free version of the title.
