How can I limit my EBSCOhost search to articles with Full Text using Field Codes?

You can use combinations of different field codes and Boolean operators to limit your searches to articles with Full Text results only.

Using the Advanced or Basic Search Screen, type the following search tags and values in the search box and click Search to retrieve results:

  • FT Y - Enter FT Y in the search box and use a Boolean operator to combine it with your terms to limit results to only Full Text results matching your terms.
    Example: Enter FT Y AND global warming in the search box to retrieve all results pertaining to global warming that include full text. 

  • FM T - Enter FM T in the search box and use a Boolean operator to combine it with your terms to limit results to only HTML Full Text results matching your terms.
    Example: Enter FM T AND global warming in the search box to retrieve all results pertaining to global warming that include HTML full text.

  • FM P - Enter FM P in the search box and use a Boolean operator to combine it with your terms to limit results to only PDF Full Text results matching your terms.
    Example: Enter FM P AND global warming in the search box to retrieve all results pertaining to global warming that include PDF Full Text.

  • FM C - Enter FM C in the search box and use a Boolean operator to combine it with your terms to limit results to only HTML Full Text results with Graphics matching your terms.
    Example: Enter FM C AND global warming in the search box to retrieve all results pertaining to global warming that include HTML full text with Graphics.
