How do I enable Multilingual Options for EBSCOhost in EBSCOadmin?

EBSCOhost administrators can allow users to translate the interface text of EBSCOhost into one of several different languages. For a list of available languages, see the linked FAQ at the bottom of this page.

To enable multilingual options:

  1. Log in to EBSCOadmin at

  2. Click on the Customize Services Tab. Choose the Profile you would like to make changes on by selecting it from the drop-down list.

  3. Click the Multilingual Sub-Tab and select:

    • Allow user to change languages dynamically during the session
    • Language Translation for Full Text
  4. Click Submit. Your changes are saved.


 From within EBSCOadmin, administrators can set the default language for EBSCOhost.

To change the default language:

  1. Click the Customize Services Tab and choose the Profile Maintenance link.

  2. Select the profile by clicking on the profile's linked ID, for example, ehost.

  3. From the Language field, choose the language that this profile will default to from the drop-down list.

  4. Click Submit. Your changes are saved.
