EBSCOadmin - Login Usage Report

The Login Usage Report compiles successful user logins by login method, client IP, browser, operating system, and mobile device.

Report filters and levels provide flexibility, allowing users to customize report requests. Grouping and Options controls allow users to select the level of detail to include in the report while Filters provide ability to limit report data analyzed.

To run an login usage report:

  1. Log in to EBSCOadmin at http://eadmin.ebscohost.com.

  2. Click Reports & Statistics in the tool bar at the top of the screen.

  3. Click Standard Usage Reports under EBSCOhost/EDS.

  4. Select Login Usage Report from the Report Type drop-down menu.

  5. Activity Type - Select Login Method to view a report of statistics aggregated by each login method used, or select a specific login method to view a report that displays detailed statistics for that login method.

  6. Sites - Select to include statistics for All sites or select a specific site. (Consortia only)

  7. Interface – Select All Interfaces Accessed, or select All Subscribed Interfaces. When selecting All Subscribed Interfaces, you can click the Select/View button to fine tune which interfaces to include in the report. On the window that appears, you can remove all interfaces or remove specific interfaces from appearing on the report.

    For example: to view statistics for the EBSCOhost Research Databases interface, remove all interfaces and then select EBSCOhost Research Databases.

  8. Reporting Period - Click the date range field to select a reporting period or create a custom date range for your report.

  9. Analysis Level - Select to display database usage at one of the following levels: Database, Interface, Site (Consortia only), Group, or Profile.

  10. Count Aggregation - Select to aggregate your statistics by the Total number of hits, or group them on the report By Year or By Month.

  11. Include Detail (Browser, Operating System activity type reports only) - Check the box to include browser version or operating system version details in your report.

  12. Delivery - Select to Download the report when it is complete from the Download Reports tab or choose the E-mail option to fill in your e-mail address, a subject line, frequency (one-time or scheduled monthly) and the desired Format (MS Excel or tab delimited).

  13. Click Create Report for Download to generate your report.

  14. Once the report has been generated, click the Download Reports tab above the Report Type drop-down menu and click the hyperlinked report format to download.
