How do I configure a profile to utilize the Google Classroom sharing functionality?

Google Classroom is a tool that allows educators create and organize assignments and communicate with their students. Administrators can set the profiles for EBSCOhost, EBSCO Discovery Service, Explora, and several of EBSCO's school reference centers to display the Google Classroom button, enabling faculty to share EBSCO results with their students.

Google Classroom is available in the following school reference centers:

  • Literary Reference Center
  • Literary Reference Center Plus
  • History Reference Center
  • Science Reference Center
  • Points of View Reference Center
  • Read It!

In order to enable the Google Classroom button on a profile, the following steps should be taken in EBSCOadmin.

Set Profile to the "School" Profile Type

Whether creating a new EBSCOhost, EDS or Explora profile, or using an existing one, you must set the Profile Type to "School" from the Profile Maintenance screen when creating or updating the profile in EBSCOadmin.
