Are stop words in EBSCO Discovery Service catalog citations indexed?

Yes, stop words are indexed in catalog citations in EBSCO Discovery Service to ensure users are able to easily find the information they are looking for.

For example:

If a user searches for the title "On the Road," the title will appear in the result list if a citation exists in the catalog because "the" is not treated as a stop word.

Note: It is still recommended that exact titles and phrases are still searched using quotation marks to ensure the best results are returned.
