How do I add an icon for EBSCO Discovery Service to my desktop?

The icon image linked below can be used to link to your EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) from your desktop. Please do not attempt to open the icon file. Simply save it to your computer following the instructions below.

Download: eds_desktop_icon.ico

Creating the Desktop Icon:

  1. Right click on an empty space on the desktop of your computer.
  2. Highlight “New” and then click on “Shortcut.”
  3. Under “Type location of the item” copy and paste the URL you use to access EDS. Note: Do not copy the URL from your browser address bar.
  4. Click "Next" and then enter a display name for your shortcut.  We recommend using the name you have reserved for your EDS search (i.e. One Search or library home page).
  5. Click “Finish.”

  3. Click on “Change icon.”
