When I import an EBSCONET report from the comma-delimited file into MS Excel, why are some of the fields in the spreadsheet displayed in scientific notation (example: 1.10007E+18)?

When importing a comma-delimited file into Microsoft (MS) Excel, the cell format defaults to General. In this format, large numbers (over 10 characters long) are automatically converted into scientific notation. To correct this, set the format style for columns with long numbers to Text when importing the file.

Note: EBSCONET report files are created in MS Excel for each report request. If you do not want to worry about cell formats fitting the data in each column, use the MS Excel file as created. The necessary format for each column has already been set.
