When should I place second claims in EBSCONET?

When placing second claims, please take into account the number of days elapsed since the first claim, the frequency of the publication, any claiming restriction the publisher may have imposed, and the location of the publisher.

If enough time has elapsed, the option to reclaim is provided on both My Claims and Claim Checker:

  • On My Claims, reclaim a title by clicking Reclaim, if available, in the Action column for the title. The page refreshes with the following message: We have reclaimed the issue(s) you requested - Thank You.

  • On Claim Checker, reclaim a title by selecting Reclaim from drop-down list in the Action column. The original claim drops off Claim Checker and has a status of Reclaimed on My Claims.
