Why don't I see subject headings on some MEDLINE citations in EBSCOhost?

Since the medical market often needs the information from the most recently published articles immediately, it was decided by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to put the citations into MEDLINE even though the citations do not yet have subject headings assigned. This allows users to locate the citations by Author, Title, etc. The records without subject headings are referred to as In Process records. Once subject headings are assigned, the updated and completed citation is entered into MEDLINE and the phrase In Process is removed from the citation.
